Both guns are solid resin with removable grips.

The 1911 BTW is a Remington Rand WW2 GI gun.

in casting, can you embed lead or steel inserts in order to give them an appropriate heft?

I would figure suspending the weights in-situ would be the tricky part.
are your molds 2-part or more elaborate?
