Comparison between the Model 29 and the 1911, The 29 is a big gun by any standard.

Both guns are solid resin with removable grips.

The 1911 BTW is a Remington Rand WW2 GI gun.

I would figure suspending the weights in-situ would be the tricky part.
are your molds 2-part or more elaborate?
