Hey, I need your opinions!
I'm making an assassin pistol for a friend.
As you can see the img form the codex is different form the mini. This is usually the case. And usually I remain true to the mini in most cases. But the mini lacks in a few areas and in my opinion would not translate well to full size. Ending up looking more like a brick with a barrel and a grip.
I like the detail on the codec img but it's hard to tell if the lower section is curved like on the mini.
The opinions I seek are weather I should make the front lower section curved like the mini or more boxy like the codec pic.
In truth I may make it an amalgam of both, taking some of the surface detail from the codec pic and the contours of the mini.

Most Imperial stuff is blocky due to being manufactured from STC technology - but I expect the officio assassinorum has some leeway to experiment without too much intereference from the Mechanicum...
I'd suggest making the lower portion of the pistol contoured, but without making it too round - maybe keep the vent or whatever it is squarer to stand out more? Just my tuppence
